Farmers’ Market Vendor, Restaurant, Winery/Brewery/Distillery

The Champlain Valley is resource rich but underrepresented in New York’s spirits industry. War Cannon Spirits was founded to fill this void and expand the regions profile.

We partnered with regarded chief distiller, Joel Elder, due to his specific focus on value-added agribusinesses. We then sought an iconic venue to boldly represent War Cannon Spirits. We wanted something authentic, not a generic prefabricated building or pole barn.

A neglected mill built in 1820 captivated our attention with its streetscape dominance in the heart of Crown Point. It stands on a well-traveled corridor near the Champlain Bridge connecting New York and Vermont. We spent over seven years repurposing the mill to showcase the region’s unique and authentic architectural heritage.
