Farmers’ Market Vendor

Traditional English styled hand pies & classic meat pies, buying the best quality ingredients, and working with local farms.

We create our “classic Pie & Pasty” recipes with a nod to the British classics of our childhood from growing up in England and adding a twist of new favorites discovered in our now Adirondack home


The Pasty (Pass-Tee) was originally created in 14th Century, during the reign of Edward III. The Oxford English Dictionary suggests that pasty was identified in around 1300. It is thought that the miners gave the pasty its distinctive D shape so the crust became a handle, which was discarded to prevent contaminating the food with grubby, possibly arsenic-ridden hands. Others will dispute this, arguing that miners ate their pasties wrapped in muslin or paper bags so that they could enjoy every last bit, as we do today.

We wanted to take the simple heritage pasty and create a real quality version of it to share with our customers for the ultimate packed lunch, a full meal in your hand.
