Oval Craft Brewing is a dream come true. About two years ago I decided I didn't want to work a desk job anymore and I would like to work for myself. My brother and I would sit in my garage in the middle of winter brewing and talking about all the ideas we had. I've always shared my beer with friends and anyone who was interested in drinking something more flavorful than the typical American lite lager. I guess I finally heard enough people say, "You should do this for a living." I took a couple formal courses to improve my brewing knowledge and learn the business side of running a brewery.
Oval Craft Brewing will be a small micro brewery producing 10 barrel (1 bbl=31 gal) batches of craft beer. The brewery will have a taproom offering pints, flights of six samples and growler fills. The initial plan is to offer four year round beers and two seasonal beers. OCB will also serve New York small batch wine by the glass for those who don't want beer. I will self distribute my year round beers to local bars and restaurants.
