Mushroom Foraging with Jordan Sauter of Red Oak Food Company
From Craigardan: If you’re curious about whether or not you should eat that enticing mushroom growing in your backyard – don’t! Instead mark your calendar for July 12th at 1 pm and participate in a guided foraging walk on Craigardan’s 320 + acre property with certified guide, Jordan Sauter. What delectable treats might you find on this walk you may wonder? We’re hoping for Chanterelles and Lobster Mushrooms. Of note: Weather is an important consideration for mushroom foraging (meaning either too much or too little rain in the lead up to the walk). Rain delay date is set for Tuesday July 19th at noon.
Fun fact: On last year’s foraging walk on Craigardan property Jordan found the most pristine Lobster mushroom he’s ever found.
