DESCRIPTION:Visit Bechard’s Sugar House to learn more about how they harvest and make pure maple syrup and other maple products from their 9\,200-tap sugar bush just north of the Adirondacks in West Chazy\, NY. \nTammy and Marvin will be offering sugar house tours\, maple product samples\, and will be serving maple coffee. Stop in anytime from 10-2 on Friday\, August 4 and Sunday\, August 6. \nThis event is part of the 2023 Open Farm Weekend\, which runs from August 4-6 and features farms and small businesses along the Adirondack Cuisine Trails. All events are open to the public\, see a full list of Open Farm Weekend events here: adirondackharvest.com/open-farm-weekend \nAbout Bechard’s Sugar House \nBechard’s Sugar House was established in 1998 by father and son Maurice and Marvin Bechard. We started with 300 taps\, currently have 9200 and are still growing. Our large variety of maple products are available year round with a self-serve gift shop open daily from 9-5\, we also offer sugar house tours by appointment (please call/email ahead) and pancake breakfast on select weekends.
