SUMMARY:Long Table Dinner
DESCRIPTION:DaCy Meadow Farm will collaborate with Chef Kevin McCarthy\, former executive chef at The Point on Upper Saranac Lake and The Lake Placid Lodge\, and current faculty member at Paul Smiths College. Chef McCarthy and his culinary students from Paul Smith’s College will create a long table dining experience on Friday\, September 20th at this year’s Adirondack Harvest Festival. Partnering with many Adirondack Harvest farms\, they are working on a menu and event that will highlight the amazing diversity of local agriculture. The setting will be the historic agricultural Floral Hall building on the Essex County Fairgrounds. Chef McCarthy was a founding member of Adirondack Harvest and an early proponent of farm to table and farm to restaurant dining in the region. In addition to providing a valuable experience for the students\, twenty-five percent of the proceeds will be donated to Adirondack Harvest to support their great work promoting local agriculture. Save the date! Menu and reservation information coming soon.
