DESCRIPTION:Put your farm or ag organization on the map of our policy makers and county employees! Meet Essex County’s Board of Supervisors by participating in Essex County Ag Day\, hosted this year on Monday July 25th\, 11 am- 1 pm in front of the county buildings in Elizabethtown. (*set-up at 10am) \nThis is an excellent opportunity for growers\, food producers and anyone involved with local food and ag to link with our board of supervisors\, legislative representatives and county government employees. \nThe event feels like a farmers’ market in the center of Elizabethtown. Tents will be set up and you can show off and sell your wares\, provide information about your farm\, sign people up for CSA’s – whatever makes sense for your operation. This is a marketing opportunity for you as well as a way to demonstrate the value\, depth and innovation of agriculture to our government officials. \nAs a ‘thank you’ for participating\, we will be covering lunch for farmers who attend. This event means so much to make sure Essex County policy makers meet you and hear your needs. \nOrganizations involved with agriculture in Essex County are also welcome and invited to attend. \nPlease email Carly Summers cfs82@cornell.edu to RSVP or for more information
