DESCRIPTION:​Mark will once again lead an introspective and adventurous tour through Essex Farm’s vegetable fields\, pasture\, and livestock areas. Afterward\, take an optional self-guided hike along the farm roads to some of the farm’s more remote areas. The Essex Farm Tour begins at 11 a.m. sharp in front of the Farm Store and takes place rain or shine. Participants should bring all-weather clothing and sturdy rubber boots and expect a long walk over rough terrain. DESCRIPTION:Visit the Creative Kitchen Garden at DaCy Meadow Farm for community you-pick nights! \nNo RSVP is needed\, just stop by any time between 5-7pm and pick as little or as much as you will eat and enjoy.\nThe suggested contribution is $25 to pick a large basket of whatever veggies\, herbs and flowers that you would like. Just want to grab a bunch of kale and a handful of cilantro? Or really just want to pick a little bouquet of fresh flowers? That’s cool too! Just pay what you can. Cash\, check\, or Venmo\, please. \nAvailability of certain things is seasonal\, and everything is first come first served. \nBaskets\, scissors\, sink to wash veggies\, plastic bags and rubber bands will be provided. Just bring your own grocery bag to bring home your haul. \nEvery Thursday\, July 7-September 29. \nPlease pull in at the driveway with the “Dacy Meadow Farm” sign\, not at the trailhead/farmstore. Follow the parking sign\, and meet me in the garden to get picking. \nMake sure to check out the concerts in the park in Westport on Thursday nights after you pick!
