SUMMARY:Woods Walk and Artisan Market
DESCRIPTION:Walks and talks will be offered during this day long event along with a gallery of artisans offering demonstrations and hands-on activities. \nFollowing the “Letterboxing Trail” provided by Warren County Planning Department\, the self-guided tree walk will bring you to a campfire tended by owner\, Gary Martin. Gary will have a surprise as you join him and talk about your walk through the woods. During the scheduled mushroom walks at 10:30\, 12:30 and 2:30\, there will be talks about all things “mushroomy”. Discover and identify mushrooms growing in their natural habitat\, discuss the edibility and medicinal value and learn other facts about these amazing fungi as you walk through the woods. Find “weeds” that are loaded with vitamins and minerals. Learn about the ones growing in your yard or garden that you might normally discard. Many can be used in a salad or cooked as a side dish and are so nutritious for you. \nMeanwhile artisans will be set up in and around the barn with their art\, demonstrations and hands-on activities. Handmade soaps\, books\, greeting cards\, quilted items\, pottery\, lotions\, jewelry\, candles\, wood art along with vintage items and displays will be on hand. In addition to the mushroom walks\, Andy LeBlanc will be back with mushroom fun and activities. \nContact information: Winefred Martin\, 518-623-9595 MartinsLumber@hotmail.com 280 Valley Rd.
